The Sovereo Protocols
The Sovereo Protocols are seven rules that run through every case in the Sovereo Universe, and through Sovereo Intelligence Research itself. They exist because most decisions made from the news fail the same way: they stop at the headline. The protocols go deeper, connect the dots and ask one more question.
Most news vs. the Sovereo Universe
- Stops at the headline
- Follows it to your budget, home and plans
- Newest story wins
- Consequence before novelty
- Outlets repeat one source
- Named sources, independently corroborated
- One side of the argument
- The strongest case against, on the page
- Ignores where you live
- Place sets the odds on income, education, health, lifestyle and legacy
- May be selling something
- Commerce after analysis
- Never scored
- Every forecast dated and scored in public
Decision integrity
Go deeper. Connect the dots. Ask one more question.
Most decisions made from the news stop at the headline. Decision integrity means following the event to the mechanism behind it and then to your own budget, home and plans, and asking the one question that would change the conclusion before acting.
Professor Isaiah ColeThe interpreterThe headline is global. The consequence is personal.
Consequence before novelty
The newest headline is not always the one that matters.
A new announcement does not automatically outrank an older development. A continuing event stays on the table while its consequences keep growing, even after the news cycle has moved on.
Dr. Ruth CareyThe historianWhat happened the last time, and what is different now?
Named sources
Primary sources, named. Independent reports, corroborated.
Consequential claims need corroboration. Several outlets repeating the same original claim do not count as independent. A single-source claim is marked unconfirmed or left out.
Eli NavarroThe apprenticeWhich source supports that?
The strongest case against
Every judgment is tested against the strongest case that it is wrong.
Before a conclusion goes out, the team argues the other side as well as it can be argued. Contrary evidence stays visible instead of being dropped because it is inconvenient.
Kaia MarinThe observerWhat are we overlooking?
Place sets the odds
Income. Education. Health. Lifestyle. Legacy.
Decades of public health research, including the Whitehall studies, show that the conditions around a person shape how long and how well they live. Where you live and work sets the odds on all five areas of life, so every case asks how an event reaches them.
Priya GrantThe plannerWhich assumption is doing the most work?
Commerce after analysis
No sale disguised as research. Ask who pays them.
Commercial offers never decide the reporting or the conclusion. Sovereo does not publish analysis about a transaction touched by an affiliated entity. Julian Castell is the reminder of what research looks like when it is selling something.
Julian CastellThe BrokerThe window is closing.
On the record
Most commentary can never be proven wrong. Ours can.
Every case ends with a forecast stated as a number with a date, and the evidence that would change it. A later episode scores the call in public, hits and misses side by side.
