What is decision integrity?
Decision integrity is the habit of testing a decision before you make it, instead of reacting to the first headline. It means following an event to the mechanism behind it, tracing where it lands in your own income, home and plans, and asking the one question that would change your conclusion. It is the first of the seven Sovereo Protocols.
Why does decision integrity matter?
Most costly mistakes made from the news are not caused by a lack of information. They come from stopping too early: acting on the summary, the urgency or the crowd. Decision integrity slows the decision down just enough to check what it actually depends on.
How do you practice decision integrity?
Use three habits. Go deeper than the first report. Connect the event to the mechanism behind it and to your own budget. Ask one more question: what would change your conclusion, which source supports this, and can you live with the downside?
How does the Sovereo Universe show it?
Every case follows one headline to one character's choice. Profe shows what the decision depends on, Elena reads the actual document, and Todd Allyn's question closes each case: what would change your conclusion?
